This is a breakfast the Lads of Watford have had at a restaurant in London called Dishoom. https://www.dishoom.com/
We liked it so much, we recreated it at home.
Add whatever you want, we usually do a Bacon/Sausage/Poach Egg combo
Serves 4
one or any combination of Bacon / Egg (style dependent on you - we prefer poached) / Sausage - cooked as you like
Naan - see my recipe https://www.famlam.co.uk/recipes-curries-and-things/naan-bread-by-ash - 1/2 the ingredients for the 4 people
Cream Cheese to spread
Salsa -
1 med red onion finely chopped
2 tomatoes chopped
Handful of coriander
1/2 Lime juice
Salt / pepper / cumin powder to taste
Sauce
2 tablespoon tomato ketchup
1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
1 tablespoon dark brown sugar
1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
1/2 tsp Paprika (smoked if you like it)
1 tsp soya sauce
1 tsp cider vinegar (or other vinegar)
2 tablespoon water
Method
Make Naans - butter if you like - set aside - keep warm
Combine all ingredients of Salsa - mix - season to taste
Combine all the ingredients of the Sauce in a pan and heat, add water as needed. Should be a pourable, but thick sauce - dark red/brown ish. I tend to add sugar/sour to balance out to what I like. Try other ingredients if you like. The aim is to have a sweet sauce.
Cook your meats / egg as you like
Prepare
Lay out a naan
Spread on a good amount of white cream cheese (philadelphia cheese) to cover a circle in the naan - not to the edge
Add a few spoonfuls of the Salsa
Lay on your bacon / sauce / egg
Drizzle on the sauce as you like (not too much for me)
Fold over the Naan - to a 1/2 moon shape
Eat and Enjoy.
Additional - Add fresh chopped chilli / Jalapeno to the salsa for that extra wake up kick
